JJ ABRAMS DAY

I figured I might as well make it JJ Abrams day considering I've posted three of his television scripts in the past week. A little history on our boy JJ.

While in college he studied the script of Ordinary People. He sold his first script at the age of 23. That script was Taking Care of Business. Through the early 90's Abrams slowly grew, writing everything from comedy, to drama, to sci fi. After writing Armageddon it was a couple years till he wrote and produced Joy Ride. And that put him back on the mark for films. While writing films, Abrams also had a successful television career which started in 1999. He created the show Felicity which went on to run for four season and was a big hit. Along with writing Joy Ride in 2001 he also created the show Alias. This put Abrams on the map for action writing. Although he had written things such as Armageddon, this pushed him into the realm of television even further. The show was a success and pushed Abrams stardom farther. In 2004 he created the show Lost, his third series. Lost would redefine the way we watched television. Abrams then went back to films where he wrote and directed Mission Impossible 3. For a first time director, it was the most expensive budget. And that secured Abrams as a go to film director. Now a days Abrams does everything. He created the show Fringe a few years back and has over a dozen projects slated fr the future. He has also exploded as a producer. He produced and directed Star Trek in 2009. His Production Company, Bad Robot, is one of the biggest production companies in film today. He has also created one of the most anticipated television series with his new Undercovers. Abrams has accomplished a lot so far, but I have a feeling there's a lot more in store in the future. Enjoy!
