First Post of BLOCKBUSTER SCRIPTS!
This will be a three part BLOCKBUSTER scripts post. On the third post I will give a review of my favorite one of them all. If you have any questions ask, and as always enjoy the scripts!
BLOCKBUSTER SCRIPTS PART 1
1. Avatar-Can't really have a blockbuster list without having this at the top. Avatar is now the highest grossing film of all time. It pasted its previous competitor, Titanic, which was also directed by James Cameron. Let's just say Cameron is the master of blockbuster movies.
2. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King-This is the third highest grossing movie of all time, bringing in over 1.13 Billion worldwide. Peter Jackson is one of the ultimate director/writer/producer there is this day. Even though The Lovely Bones didn't do so great at the box office, it doesn't take away from his legacy.
3. The Dark Knight-One of the greatest movies of all time. This ranks up there at number five. It won two Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor which went to the late Heath Ledger. This movie was just overall fucking awesome. You're not gonna hear a lot of complaining about this one.
4. Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope-Back in the day this movie killed the box office. It ranks twenty fourth all time worldwide bringing in 798 million. In todays standards, that pretty close to Avatar's feat. And for anyone who has seen Star Wars, it's out of this world.
5. Transformers-As much as it pains me to put this one up, it is a must. It's no small feat bringing in over 700 million worldwide. Transformers ranks thirty six all time. Michael Bay, the king of action movies, made another high impact, explosive film, that grabbed people of all ages. Although the story line was mediocre, that didn't stop moviegoers.
6. The Hangover-Alright I had to put this one in. When you have a production budget of 35 million and yet bring in 462 million worldwide, you have to be recognized. This is the highest grossing R rated movie of all time. The sequel is already in the works. If you like comedy, this is a must.
7. Sherlock Holmes (2009 version)-Oh Sherlock, how so many looked you over. I've put this one up because I truly feel that if this hadn't opened the same weekend as a couple other big titles, you would be up much higher. You've got a great cast of characters that just turns this story into one to remember. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. With a 90 million dollar budget and a 480 million worldwide gross, this ranks Sherlock Holmes at number seventy six all time.
Come back tomorrow for part 2 of this three part series.
HINT: Some of my favorite scripts will be tomorrow.
Enjoy.
